Normally I would have shrugged it off as a political rhetoric but
having watched the recent political drama my mind started searching
for a grain of truth in these slogans
After dinner I asked my wife how you would react if our daughter
marries a politicianSuddenly she rolled her eyes, made a face, came closer, & sniffed mefor alcohol (I am a teetotaller) & asked me to sleep in a stern voicewhile I did as was told my mind started thinking of a politician whomI would like to see as a son in law but all I could see was lalu,shibu soren, sukhram, D P yadav, pappu yadav, shahabuddin, suraj bhan singh, arun gawali
I am sure given a choice dawood will gladly opt for this profession oris it a vocation? I started wondering where have persons like sardarPatel, c rajagopalachari , Dr Rajendra Prasad have all gonewhy good persons do not want to join politics
I do understand why bapu never took any public office or contested
any electionThe answer is obvious there is a famous saying in Bengali one whorules lanka becomes rawan in order to win elections we need money, &muscle a deadly combination
when MPS can be bought for 25 cr as rumored recently it requires a
fortune to contest then there is no surety of success so the risk
reward ratio has to be at least 10:1 as with coalition government withwafer thin a government lasting its full term is not certain
So the pay back period has to be short enough
I am reminded of the lucrative contracts pravin mahajan has supposed
to have got getting him a tidy sum when he was out of favor with late
ashok mahajan
I can very well understand why shri shibu soren is in a hurry to be achief minister with his colleagues as cabinet ministers
With jain diaries & tahalaka & the way establishment went after
whistle blowers instead of catching the thief shows the loyalty our
establishment has towards our political masters
I wonder what happened to the case involving a cabinet minister from
whose house crores were recovered or the famous cricketer the kin of apowerful politicianIs our prosecution so inefficient that not a single powerful persongets convicted?is there any enquiry on wastage of state resources in all suchlitigation
I am sure there will be some c&ag report on this
government keeps dragging its feet in cases where the political stakes are high & convicts spend years under hangman’s noose
the mantra these days seems to be not to do any thing at all so that there is nothing to defend & no consequences to be faced

I wonder why politicians get in to trouble only when out of power
What kind of safety shield power provides them ?
Only question no answersWith my long inning in practice I wonder which tax payer can claimto have received crores in gifts without having to prove the capacityof persons gifting the same & on what evidence honorable authoritieswill accept the same
Should I have sympathy with the (in )famous ca in the thick of
controversy when all he was trying was to get the relief for his
client as per the rule of the game ?
I must add the caveat for the umpteen times that I have never

I wonder what happened to the cases involving Ms jaya lalita & how
